Weigh In Wednesday

I ate like crap all weekend really.  I skipped Pizza at one point to have two pieces of cake.  Because you know, I DESERVED cake because I SKIPPED Pizza.

Which led me to my moment.  One that I have said but never embraced.  And as I found myself perusing health and beauty instead of Little Debbies on Monday I realized:

I also look forward to and try to find more creative ideas to keep my body moving throughout the day.  Walking around my 3 story building inside and out. Wii boxing with the kids.  Walking to the store for strawberries instead of driving.  And better yet?  My kids are fighting over who gets to go with me.  So I am active, choosing healthy and getting one on one time with my kids?  Priceless.

So I am debating next Monday going Whole30 or trying out Advocare next week for a while.  But here's the thing.  I love cheese.

Have you tried either?  Recommendations?

I weighed in with a .2 lb gain.  And after all the crap I shoveled in my mouth I honestly deserve more so I am thankful!

Onto next week!

  1. I'm with ya on the cheese, bread, and even better...cheesy bread! Hang in there!

  2. I'm not sure what Advocare is, but I've heard great things about Whole 30. I'm with you, though, on the cheese-bread-and-cheesy-bread thing. I don't know if I could give them up. Whatever you choose to do, sounds like you're all set to have an awesome weigh-in next week!

  3. You basically maintained, no biggie! Haven't tried either, but have read good things about Whole30; it seems maintaining the lifestyle is hardest after the initial phase is done, but people really like the way their bodies feel while eating that way:-) One on one time w/kids and activity is a Win-Win! Get it girl!

  5. Are you kidding? Cake wins every time! Except if it has that nasty whipped topping icing. Then that shit needs to go in the trash! If it isn't buttercream, then it is just a waste of cake!

I didn't even step on the scale today. Because this past week was just crazy. But, I promised myself that I was going to start tracking my points again. Because let's be honest, I have to be hot for the NKOTB concert. I have about four months.

  10. It's hard. Weight loss is such a hard thing and at the end of the day it's really all a mindset. Easy for me to say as I shovel fruit snacks in my mouth at record rate- I am sure I will regret all this food after the baby. I wish you the best of success girl! You can do it! Also I have gone to an Advocare meeting once and tried the Spark (don't drink it at night or you will be up until 1am). It's a good concept, but yet another fad thing. Don't waste your money. There will never be a miracle fix. It took me forever to lose 25lbs to finally understand that I was in control. Clean eating, counting calories, and stupid ass exercise is what works. It sucks. I wish it was as much "fun" to lose as it is to gain. I mean if I could eat donuts all day and lose weight it would be the perfect plan! YOU WILL get it all figured out. Don't be too hard on yourself and don't ever give up. Also walking to get strawberries?! That in itself is amazing girl!

  11. Great job walking to the store! I wish we had a store near us that didn't require getting on the highway :( I would love to bike/walk to the store! Maybe in our next house I'll make sure there is one within walking distance. Sorry about your gain but you'll do better next week! Keep it up and kick some butt this week!

  13. Wow, you are girl #4 to say the word Advocare this week! So, I guess it's a good route to try. But have tried neither, so good luck w/ whichever one you choose and make sure you let us know how it goes!

  15. That ecard pretty much sums up my life. And I need a dessert one about chocolate and peanut butter. Good for you for changing your mentality, it's definitely hard to do!

  16. So guilty of rewarding myself with food.

I'm guilty this week of letting the gym be the first thing to slip when things get stressful. But it should really be the LAST thing that slips.

  17. I, too, love me some cheese! I usually reward myself with cookies, which I need to stop doing, but they're just so tasty. Regardless, we can do this!
